SALINE COUNTY CELEBRATES ANNUAL "MUSEUM DAY," FEATURING TEN LOCAL MUSEUMS, ON SEPTEMBER 13
Saline County museums have partnered together to host the annual Saline County Museum Day on Saturday, September 13th, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This annual event is the only day in the year that all participating museums will be open to the public without an appointment. Entry is free. These museums are located throughout the county in Bauxite, Bryant, Benton, Haskell, and Mabelvale.
There will be three prize drawings that participants can earn entries based on the number of museums visited on Museum Day. Visitors can have their Museum Day brochure marked at each visit and then turn it in on the last visit to be entered in the drawings. Visiting two or more museums earns an entry into the drawing for a small prize basket. Visiting four or more museums earns an entry into the drawing for a large prize basket. Visiting seven or more museums earns an entry for the grand prize of a DNA Ancestry Kit.

• Haskell Historical Museum and Haskell Fire Museum: 529 E. Elm, Haskell
• Mashburn Mustang Museum: 1321 Holy Ridge Road, Traskwood
• Saline County History & Heritage Society: 123 N. Market Street, Benton
• Shoppach House: 503 N. Main Street, Benton
The Saline County Library has been serving the residents of Saline County since 1931 and has three locations: Benton, Bryant, and East End. Each location provides wireless access computing as well as desktop computers for guest use and several other non-traditional items such as video games, cake pans, small tools, and more.
