From the Mines to the Frontlines – America 250 Marker Unveiling

On behalf of the Saline County 250 Commission, you are invited to join us in two weeks for "From the Mines to the Frontlines" on Tuesday, November 11 at 9:30 a.m. at the Bauxite Museum (6707 Benton St., Bauxite, AR).

This special ceremony will feature the unveiling of an America 250 historical marker, provided by the Arkansas 250 Commission, recognizing Bauxite’s remarkable contributions to America’s success during World War II. In addition to the marker dedication, we will also take time to honor and recognize all veterans in Saline County for their service and sacrifice.

We are deeply appreciative of the Saline County community for coming together to make this event possible—including our cities, school districts, veterans’ auxiliary groups, local businesses, chambers of commerce, and many others whose support has been instrumental in bringing this celebration to life. Our students will also play an important role in the program itself.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited to a reception inside the Bauxite Museum, where light refreshments will be served and attendees can explore exhibits highlighting Bauxite’s pivotal role during the war.
